Our Field of Praise Ceramic Relief Wall Art is a one-of-a-kind framed ceramic relief by April Dupuis of The Potter’s Hands Studio in Oxford, Mississippi. Strokes of ochre and white run the full height of the panel like a standing field, worked in thick palette-knife relief with wheat heads rising through it. Glazed clay blossoms are set across the field in a loose diagonal, with small sculpted seed discs gathered along the lower edge. Finished in a gold leaf frame, it measures [H]” × [W]”. About the piece
Our Field of Praise Ceramic Relief Wall Art is the tallest work in the Flourish collection and the most vertical in composition. Everything in it rises — the ochre strokes run floor to ceiling without interruption, the wheat heads climb through them, and the blossoms are set higher up the panel than the eye expects, so the piece reads as a field seen from inside it rather than across it.

The flowers here are glazed rather than left bare, so they hold a soft gloss against the matte relief behind them. Each was formed by hand — petals shaped individually, centers pressed with texture, then glazed and fired before being set into the ground.
